Blessed Mabon and Happy Autumn Equinox!

Blessed Mabon and happy Autumn Equinox! My favorite time of the year 🍂

With every Equinox, we come to a time when day and night are equal, making it a moment of balance, equality and harmony.

In ancient times, Mabon was a celebration of the second harvest (we actually have 3 during this season!), a time when hearty foods like gourds, pumpkins, grapes and apples were collected to be used for the Winter stores. Gratitude for the abundance of a good harvest was given to the God and Goddess, protectors of the Earth Mother, solidified with celebrations of food, drink, and fire!

Mabon is considered “Thanksgiving” within the Wheel of the Year. So, what are you thankful for??

Energetically, this is a time to reflect on how you’ve grown, what you’ve learned, what you’ve released, and how you’re integrating those lessons in your daily life. Celebrate YOURSELF for all that you’ve done this year.

This is also a good time to reflect on what you’d like to decrease. What do you want to let go of or release? Set intentions of removing bondage! What holds you back? How are you limiting yourself? What can you shed in order to step into greater freedom?

Habits, beliefs, patterns, perceptions - this can be in relation to how you care for yourself, how you operate in relationships, where you hold yourself back in the work place, how you interact with your children.

I love to do a chakra scan with every changing season and ask my body some questions:

What’s holding me back?

Where am I limited?

What can I take accountability for?

How can I be more responsible with the care of my own energy, body, mind, and spirit?

We’re heading into the contemplative Winter months soon, and every Harvest (Lughnasadh, Mabon, and Samhain) is designed to help us reduce what we carry into those reflective and quiet months. The idea is to let go of the excess dragging you into your past. You’re no longer there! Be free and present!

Nourish your body, mind, and spirit with this Equinox energy. Celebrate the cozy season and enjoy this turn of the Wheel of the Year 🍁🍂
